Perry County Crime Stoppers is a 501c 3 organization. It was founded in 2003 through the efforts of the Pennsylvania State Police and local citizens of the county. The bylaws for the organization were adopted in January 2004.
Contributions are solicited from service organizations, social clubs, business men & women, corporations, citizens, and fund raising events. Contributions are tax-exempt.
The two main reasons individuals do not give information are: (1) They are afraid of retaliation.(2) They do not want to get involved. Perry County Crime Stoppers works around these concerns by providing a toll-free number or online submission which allows each informant to remain completely anonymous. We also add the incentive of a cash reward whenever the information leads to an arrest.
